While reading a book about the Oregon Trail today, each time the book said, "Native Americans," one kiddo said "Navy Americans." Another teacher told she has seen her kids write it as "Nate of Americans."
One little guy was talking about forgetting his homework, and he said, "I guess I don't have a very good rememory."
I was reading from Junie B. Jones book (hilarious) and Junie says, "Poor Mrs. She's a pretty nice lady, but she just doesn't understand kids at all." And one of my guys piped up, "Thank goodness our teacher understands kids!"
*This one is from another teacher, but too good to pass up.
The teacher was asking for words that start with the blend "spr" (like spring, sprite, etc.) and one of them shouted out, "Sperm! You know, like the whale!"
Ahh... good times.
