With a kid like this, you need a sense of humor

The following was written on a card I received from C's parents. C is known for some pretty intense temper tantrums, popping my pool with a pencil, and clothes-lining another kid on their way to recess. He is also extremely bright, understands and appreciates sarcasm, and makes references to Family Guy. When he is having a good day, he is hilarious and bright and highly enjoyable. But not all days are good days. After several chats with his parents, grandparents and the principal, C is on his way to a better place. He is going to bed earlier, spending more one-on-one time with his parents, and controlling his anger by taking himself out of a situation when he feels frustrated. He's really come a long way.

"Thanks for your extra time and care with C. We appreciate your guiding his brilliances LESS to the axe-murderer/unibomber side and MORE to the president/astronaut side. :) You're the best!"

It's funny, because this woman gets it.

That's hilarious. I hope to be the kind of mother who can see my own child clearly, not muddied through the lens of unconditional love gone stupid.

Unconditional love, yes.
Stupid, no.

Way to go - that's got to be one of the best notes ever!
