Memorial Day Memories part Two

The other reason Mem day was so "mem-orable" was thanks to a last minute camping trip on Saturday night. Aubyn gathered and rallied the troops to head up to Woodbine for an overnighter. Sadly, we all left at different times. Aubyn and Hans arrived at Woodbine early, found it completely packed with campers and bikers, and went in search of another spot. The rest of us (Seth, Bryce, his bro Chase, and their coworker, Sarah) made the same discoveries, but then had no idea how to find Aubyn and Hans. We got a hold of Aubyn briefly through the Nye store's telephone, and heard something about "the Christian ranch". We traveled on to Beartooth Mountain Christian Ranch, were I spent a good chunk of time in high school. After another phone call, we managed to find Aubyn in Hans in a DELIGHTFUL little spot of national forest. There was a creek flowing through (already filled with frosty beers and chilled bottled water), a fire pit, and ample flat ground for the numerous tents we pitched.

After setting up, playing some games and enjoying nature and the company of one another, Jenn and her fiance Chris made it up as well. Just in time for Charades. Lucky them.

Some of the menfolk playing it cool.
Chase is a master photographer. Here he is at work. He even managed to get some cool shots from our moving vehicle at one point.
Poor Jenn - the downpour came just as she was getting ready to fish.
Looks like Aubyn and Sarah are trying to figure out someone's charade moves, perhaps?

Aubyn nailed it on the head when she called our camping trips "serendipitous".
