From the Mouths of Babes

"How was gym today?"

"It was great, but retiring!"

After talking a bit about myself, one of the kiddos asked, "So... do you have any of those... what do you call em? Little ones at home?"

Another teacher to one of my students: "Your eyes are very distinctive!"

Student: "Thanks. But I don't know what that means."

Different student: "It means they're not alive any more. You know, like how dinosaurs are distinct."

A former student (now in fourth grade) to his current teacher: "Ooooh, ooh it hurts!"

Teacher: "What hurts?"

Student: "You're so beautiful, it's makin' me ache!"

*The same student also wrote the following under "Aspirations": "To have the devilish looks of Brad Pitt"

She's got her work cut out for her. Hooooo boy!
